Cavendish Basements employs a number of specialists, as well as waterproofing and site set up crews, who provide the manpower and expertise to undertake any size of basement construction project making us one of London’s premier basement construction specialists.
Innovation has always been an integral part of Cavendish Basements’ philosophy; constantly pushing the boundaries of basement construction to meet clients’ growing expectations. Such a philosophy has enabled us to pioneer and build new engineering, construction and underpinning methods, to maximise the space within each home. To create more space, the construction of basements can also be extended below gardens and driveways.
Basement options include:
Under House (Retrofit): In most instances, Cavendish Basements as a basement excavation specialists can excavate below your property whilst you continue to live in your property as normal. The amount of extra space you want to create is entirely up to you; you can choose to build below the whole footprint of your house, or just under a specific area.
Sub-Basement: Construction is not restricted to a single level basement; Cavendish Basements has experience in building multiple level basements, including the installation of swimming pools, plant rooms, wine cellars and storage.
Under Garden (Open Excavation): Should you prefer not to excavate below your house, Cavendish Basements are able to construct a basement below your garden, or extend beyond the boundaries of your house by carrying out an open excavation below your garden.
Damp Proofing Systems
Cavendish Basements utilise the world’s foremost range of products for drainage, structural waterproofing and underground wall and floor protection – the Delta Membrane System.
Cost effective and highly efficient, DELTA® membranes keep hydrostatic pressure away from walls, ceilings and floors keeping living spaces dry and insulated. This system is used on domestic and/or commercial properties from small scale basement conversions to major public works, such as the London Underground. The channel tunnel for example claims over 70,000m² of DELTA®-MS.
DELTA Systems can easily deal with aggressive ground water conditions, where basements are liable to flooding, or indeed where simple dampness, contamination or salting problems are prevalent.
